Alleluia! Christ is risen. Christ is risen indeed. Alleluia! The photo above is from the 10am Easter service held yesterday.

Please note the following happenings:

  • Giving Statements have been emailed to those who pledged for our current fiscal year and/or donated between January and March of 2022.  They should have arrived on April 5.  Please contact Wanda at weinberg@ohio.edu if you did not receive yours.
  • Intergenerational Trip to Serpent Mound Sunday, April 24th departing 1pm.  Join this all age venture to Serpent Mound departing from the church parking lot at 1pm and returning c. 5:30 or 6pm. There are a few folks who have said they have space in their vehicles.  Please also note that the mound has a fairly level (albeit narrow) concrete path around which makes it fairly suitable for those who need level ground.  The steps to the viewing tower are narrow and steep, though, and made of wire.  The viewing tower allows one to capture the whole shape of the mound from an "arial" vantange point.  If you save your parking receipt ($8 per car), CLC can reimburse it.  More can be found here:  https://www.ohiohistory.org/visit/browse-historical-sites/serpent-mound/ Please sign up (by clicking here) if you plan to join us.
  • Handbell Concert The Lancaster Handbell Ensemble will present their Spring 2022 Concert on Sunday, April 24th at 3pm at Hocking Hills UMC 16580 Maysville-Williams Rd Logan Ohio.  This concert is free and open to the public. Selections for the concert will include: “Be Thou My Vision”, “Bwana Asifiwe!” (Praise the Lord), “Capriccio”, “Classical Gas”, “For As the Rain Comes Down”, “Hallelujah”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Sherekea Usafari!” (Celebrate the Journey), “You Raise Me Up”, “Every Time I Feel the Spirit” (Handbell Solo by Linda, a charter member of the group) and our traditional Spring Concert Closing Selection “Gaudeamus” (Let Us Be Joyful).  LHE is an auditioned Handbell Choir from Lancaster Ohio ringing 5 octaves of Malmark Handbells and Chimes.  The group made their debut performance at the Lancaster Festival Art Walk in 2011.
  • SAVE THE DATE:  The women's mini-retreat is tentatively set for Saturday, June 4 (note the date correction from last week) from 11am-1pm.  For those that want to come early and hike, a group will meet at 9:30am.  All events are happening at the Presbyterian Farm in Logan.  It will be held in an outdoor shelter that sits 40-50 and has plenty of protection from sun or rain.  Suggested donation of $10 to cover lunch, which will be provided. The theme is "Living a Life of Daily Bread."  Stay tuned for more details.
