Sunday Worship

This coming Sunday we hear Luke’s story of the ritual at which the infant Jesus was presented in the temple and his mother Mary was “purified” after childbirth. Receiving them in the temple are Simeon and Anna, two old people who speak about the redemption that will come through Jesus’ death. All narratives about Jesus point to his death and resurrection. Come to worship, and at communion hold Christ in your own hands.
